What is a brand story?

An individuals brand story is their personal brand. A personal brand by definition is a prescribed image or impression in the mind of others about an individual. Your resume, your social media profiles, your personal website, the pictures you share with others, the way you shake someones hand, the way you dress and even the words you use, make up your personal brand.

Why is it important?

Having a strong personal brand helps differentiate your application when compared to other potential applicants within the interview process. A resume only provides the Recruiter with basic work and school information. Reviewing your social media profiles, online websites and other business tools such as LinkedIn, allows a Recruiter to search online for additional information that they may not find on your application. If you do not feel comfortable sharing your social profiles with a potential employer, we suggest that you increase your privacy settings so that your account is private, as this is a common space for Recruiters to seek out 'the real you.' 

Personal Branding Sessions:

During our Personal Branding sessions, we ask you questions about your core values, passions, where you feel you have failed, where you have succeeded, your goals and your dreams. To help you build a strong brand, we think it’s important for us to get to know you and for you to learn more about yourself. This process also helps you to get to know yourself in ways you might not have thought or expected. After we complete the discovery process, you will then be able to create a professional values statement which you will be able to communicate to any employer.

  • Learn how to create or improve your LinkedIn profile

  • Learn how to use LinkedIn to maximize your job search results

  • Understand how key words can help in online searches

  • Learn how to professionally communicate with Recruiters so that you receive a response

  • Learn the in’s and out’s of a professional social media profile (Trust us - we know what recruiters look for!)
